Why a Watch-only platform

General launch sites judge Watch apps by their iPhone screenshots. Here every page is structured around the wrist: what the app does on the Watch, whether it needs an iPhone nearby, and which Watch capabilities it uses.

That structure is also how you browse. Every category, capability and use case has its own page, so “standalone running apps with complications” is a place you can go, not a search you have to get lucky with.

How it works

• A developer submits an app. A person reviews it, and on approval it gets a permanent public page. We aim to review most submissions within 12 hours.
• Optionally, the developer enters it into a Launch Week. Every launch in a week goes live at the same moment, Monday 00:00 UTC, so nobody wins by posting at the right hour.
• Signed-in visitors upvote and comment through the week. Voting closes the following Monday at 00:00 UTC, ranks freeze five minutes later, and the week’s results stay public for good.

Some pages describe apps whose developers haven’t joined yet. Our editors write them from the App Store’s public facts and label them “Listed by editors”. Those apps are never entered into a Launch Week, and their developers can claim the page at any time.

Who it is for

Developers get a permanent product page, a launch week and honest traffic numbers. Visitors never need an account to browse, only to upvote or comment. Browse, then leave for the App Store.

How we stay fair

Rankings follow a published formula, and the page that explains it renders its numbers from the same code that ranks. Money never buys rank, and staff picks never affect it either.

Each account gets one upvote per launch, and every upvote from an account with a confirmed email weighs the same. There is no minimum account age. Votes that turn out to be coordinated are removed from the count before ranks freeze.
