Terms

The rules for using Launch on Watch. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy policy.

Agreeing to these terms

Browsing needs no account and no agreement. To create an account, you tick the box that says you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy, whether you sign up with an email address or with Google. We record when you agreed and to which version.

You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you use Launch on Watch for a company or studio, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

Accounts

Anyone can create an account, and you need one to upvote or comment. An upvote adds to a launch’s rank once your account’s email address is confirmed. Submitting an app needs the same account and a confirmed email address.

One account per person or studio, and one vote per launch per account. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

Your listings

You keep ownership of everything you submit. You grant us a licence to display it on the platform, in search results and in the social cards that appear when a page is shared, for as long as the listing is live and in archived Launch Week results afterwards.

You confirm that you have the right to submit what you submit, and that the listing describes the app truthfully. The submission guidelines explain what that means in practice.

Launch Weeks

A launch is reviewed before its week opens. We may decline or remove a launch that breaks the guidelines, and we may remove votes we believe were bought or coordinated. An app can launch again 90 days after its previous launch closed.

Ranks are calculated by the published formula and freeze when the week closes. Payment never affects rank.

Listings we write

Some pages describe Apple Watch apps whose developers have not joined yet. Our editors write them from the App Store’s public facts, with drafting help from an AI model, and check every page before it is published. The app’s icon and screenshots come from its App Store listing. These pages are labelled “Listed by editors”, credit the developer, and link to the App Store. We are not affiliated with Apple or with those developers.

A developer can claim the page for their app, or ask us to remove it through the removal form. A person reads every removal request, and we aim to handle them the same day. Once removed, an app is not listed by our editors again.

Comments and conduct

Be civil. No harassment, spam, or links designed to mislead. We may hide comments that break this and suspend accounts that keep doing it. Signed-in users can report an app page or comment they think breaks the rules.

The service as it is

We work to keep Launch on Watch accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. App pages describe other people’s apps; we check them, but cannot promise every detail is right, and we are not responsible for the apps themselves or for anything you download from the App Store. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, that come from using the site.

Ending use

You can unlist or delete your listings, or delete your account, at any time from your dashboard. We may remove listings or suspend accounts that break these terms or the guidelines, and when we do we will tell you why.

Changes

If we change these terms or the Privacy policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect, and ask you to agree again the next time you sign in.
