Refund policy
When you get your money back, and when you do not. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, and refunds go back to the card or account you paid with.
Last updated 11 Oct 2026Paid launches
- If the launch you paid for doesn’t go live (we decline or remove it, or your app is no longer listed), you get a full refund, at the latest when its week opens.
- Your slot is held for 30 minutes while you pay. If you pay after that, you still get the slot if one is free; if not, you get a full refund straight away.
- If we move your launch to another week, it moves at no charge. If it moves into Launch Week 1, which is free for everyone, you get a full refund. If the new week does not suit you, ask and we refund in full.
- If you withdraw the launch more than 72 hours before its week opens, you get a full refund. Closer than that the slot cannot be offered to anyone else, so the payment is kept, and the app keeps its launch tools.
- Once a launch has gone live, it has been delivered, and the payment is not refunded.
Paid launches can be booked at most 25 days before their week opens, so that any refund we owe you can still be made.
A refunded launch no longer unlocks the app’s launch tools. A launch that went live keeps them for good.
Sponsored placements
- A placement that has not started yet can be cancelled for a full refund.
- Your spot is held for 30 minutes while you pay. If you pay after that, you still get it if it is free; if not, you get a full refund straight away.
- If your app is unlisted, deleted or taken down before its placement starts, you get a full refund.
- If your app leaves the page a pin is sold for, the pin stops showing, and we work out a refund with you.
- Once its period has started, a placement runs to the end and is not refunded, unless we take it down, in which case you get a full refund.
How refunds reach you
Refunds are made through Dodo Payments to the card or account you paid with. Most banks show them within 5–10 business days. We email you when a refund is confirmed, with the reason.
If our payment provider can’t make a refund, or the payment is more than 30 days old, a person refunds you by hand and emails you.
A partial refund, if we ever make one, leaves what you bought in place.
Something went wrong
If you think you were charged by mistake, or a refund has not arrived, use the contact form or write to our contact form. A person answers within two working days.
