18Birdies lets you leave the phone in the bag for the round. The Watch shows distances on the course, keeps your scorecard and tracks your shots, and Premium adds automatic swing detection. Afterwards the phone app turns the round into stats and a handicap trend, which suits golfers who want to improve without fiddling with a phone mid-hole.
